- 1X ttPBS (1XPBS with 0.3% tween 20)
- On a macro balance weigh 16g of tween 20 (polyoxyethylene-sorbitan monolaurate) into a 4L beaker.
- Measure 1800mL of filtered water and add about half to 4L beaker.
- Add 400ml of 10XPBS, stir continuously.
- Add 0.16g thimerosal, rinse weighing boat with some of remaining water .
- Add 0.5g of sodium azide, rinse weighing boat with remaining water.
- Add 1800ml more of filtered water and continue to stir.
- Measure the pH using pH meter. Should be between 7.2-7.5. Refrigerate.
